Welcome to week 9

Kia ora, 1 1/2 weeks left...a fab-OH week in Room 7. As you can see by the pics - a lot of work and AWESOME stuff happening.
This Friday reports will be coming home - check your child's school bag - If your child has had their birthday report this year - they will have a progress report (Y3 children). All year 4 children will have a full report =) Along with the reports will be a stationery list for 2015 and a magnet with the school year dates for 2015 (Youngest child or only will have this in their envelope).
Have a really good week!! "Shine"

I love this photo of Schalk leading the class in the Karakia. AND LOOK AT OUR SHARP students - Oscar for always putting his hand up to help - no matter what! And Giselle...for....being awesome on our trip to Mt Bruce.

Another SHARP kid - well done Koby! And in the background look at all those certificates for homework (auction dollars) & spelling test results!
And...LOOK ANOTHER SHARP KID...Ruby Leigh =0 well done!

Sam - reading his fab 'Giant' poem to the class....Sam got a Principal's award sticker for this poem. Well done Sam - great to see writing being done at home. And fab it was!
 Room 7 listening intently!

TIME - the children had to put their hand up when they thought a minute had gone by. Some were very close and others waaaaay out! Try it at home.....
The children learnt how to know when a second has gone by clapping or saying "Mississippi one"

Mr Hammond invited us into R13 to see the fantastic photographs that his students had taken - the children voted for the photo they liked the best. Some very good shots!

  1. Thanks Miss Burt for letting me come on the awesome field trip to Mt Bruce, I really enjoyed my day with Giselle and your lovely class. I loved seeing the Kokako up close, the fluffy white kiwi and the handsome tuatara.
