Kia ora - and thank you for attending your child's goal setting. If you didn't manage to get there last week, please email me with a time that suits you.
We will be setting up a GOAL wall/or maybe ceiling in our classroom.

Dates: This Wednesday is WOW day - wheels day for Movin' March - so your child gets to bring their bike, scooter, skateboard, rollerblades or rollerskates to school - at 10.50-12noon Totara Syndicate will be using their wheels. A track will be set out on the north field and the concrete by room 14. If you would like to help please do so - you can be the stop/go person ;)
Ms Wells will be taking Room 7 that day - the children do know.

ALL Whānau Evening

Just a reminder to those parents of students in the Accelerated Literacy Learning (ALL) programme that there is a parent information evening on Thursday the 30th of March 6:30 -7:30 pm in the school library that you are invite to attend.

We did a wonderful tally chart and a great discussion about this day - what your child will be bringing.
MOST IMPORTANTLY...all must wear a helmet. Safety first!

Seesaw - Miss Burt is getting jiggy with it - and finally Seesaw is all on the go - your child and I have downloaded a few things onto your child's Seesaw site...parent log ins will go home on Monday. I'm loving this app. See the video below:
SUPER SHARP Khalia. She is a wonderful responsible student both in the classroom and playground. Yay! We love SHARP students.

Super SHARP work by Cam - Cam got a principal's award and a SHARP certificate from Miss Burt for his fantastic reading/research on the Tibetan hawk and other hawks. He shared his information with the class.

Enjoy these photos of some of Room 7 children getting sunflower heads to harvest them. This is also part of our junior environment group.
We shared the sunflower heads with several classes, and some children took a head home to dry out.
Room 7 have 2 sunflower heads hanging upside down in our class in organic breathable bags.
Once they are dry - we will take the seeds out - we are going to save the seeds to sell.
The money will go towards buying more plant seeds to plant.

MUFTI day - in support of Nick Perkin's - (Thomas from Room 5 is Nick's son). The whole school raised $700. YAY!

Keiran sharing his journal story about what him and his soft toy buddy got up to at his house. =)

ROOM 7 - Katie in the front is wearing a Nick Perkin's t-shirt in support of his fundraising for his MS treatment in Singapore. Room 7 wish Nick all the best!
