The week that was....week 3 in Room 7

Welcome to week 4 in Room 7
Was good to see a few of you last Tuesday night at the picnic/Totara information night.
There was a lot more I would've liked to talk about in the classroom - and of course I should of shown you around the room ... feel free to look around the room when you drop your child off.
Ask your child to give you a tour.

Below are photos of the children working in groups discussing WHAT IS LEARNING? WHERE DO WE LEARN? HOW DO WE LEARN? WHO DO WE LEARN FROM? WHEN DO WE LEARN?
Results are on the wall in the classroom.

Dates in diary:
Our fun swimming show off with Room 6 & Room 7 - Monday 29th February - starting at 10.50am - 11.45am. Followed by a "stay and have lunch with your child" - we will sit on the south field.

Home learning: SPECIAL BAG of 4 things that are special and important to me.
This will be used for discussions between the children...note to come home on Monday.

Well done to the children who got their colouring competition in for the Golden Shears.

A nice visitor to Room 7 - Tyah's brother.

Innes's visit - we were lucky to have Innes come into room 7 and to inspire us with some work on the iPads...Innes did a jigsaw activity where the children had to read sentences...and put them back together to make sense.
They then had to read what they had put together - and think ====does this make sense?

Relaxing and having lunch - I enjoy sitting with the children while they eat lunch as the conversations are interesting =)

iPads with Innes - Innes came into Room 7 and worked with the children doing 'jigsaw poetry' on the iPads - ask your child what they did =)
