In the words of the children: We need to know what is in our red dictionary, so that we can use it.
We can look through it quickly. To get better at words.
To get used to the words so we can learn how to spell them.
Write more words because you know more words - Jet.
Charlie - Instead of just thinking what the word might be use a dictionary.
Liv - Use punctuation (Capital letters) in the right place.
Campbell - we can experiment with different words.
Mackenzie - make sense with what you write.
MAKE OUR WRITING MORE EXCITING.

Think, pair, share.....

MOVIN’ MARCH with Room 7 is…Screen Shot 2016-03-23 at 8.39.01 PM.png
What do we feel, see, smell & hear when we scooter, skateboard, bike, walk, run or bus to school?
I feel the air on my head when I scooter & I smell the flower’s pollen, Zac.
Petra sees all the nature that you don’t get to see when you’re in a car.
Movin’ March, Jet loves the morning smells they are different to the afternoon. He likes the morning smell better.
Harrison bikes to school,he smells the smoke from cars which isn’t good, because it’s polluting the air.
Smell the freshly cut grass, which is one of Campbell’s favourite smells.Screen Shot 2016-03-23 at 8.41.54 PM.png
When Harry walks he likes looking at the birds, there’s 1 bird that is special and he always looks for him.
Dallas likes ‘Movin’ March’ because you’re not polluting.
When Sophia scooters to school she sees the trees swaying.
“I like to feel the breeze on my face,” said Annabelle.
Ali hears the engine of the bus when he travels by bus to school.
Jacob enjoys seeing the wind blowing in the trees.
Feeling the breeze on his body is nice for Max, he smells the fresh air.
Charlie sees the sun shining in the sky and it feels nice & warm.
As Jordyn walks to school she sees dogs chained up and it makes her feel sad that they’re on their own, she feels they should be running around.
Kuini can smell the flowers that smell nice...they make her feel happy.
Elliot likes to hear the cars zooming and the motorbikes hooning.
Esther likes to feel the soft, dewdrop, wet grass under her feet.
Ava sees the wind blowing the trees and hears the leaves when she stands on them.
I like to hear the birds chirping a song - Logan.
Fergus sees the cows chewing their cud in the paddocks outside the bus window.
Mackenzie in the morning feels the fresh air in her ears.
Liv sees the birds flying overhead.
Niysa likes seeing people walking and scootering to school.
William hears the birds sing songs while walking down the footpath.
