The end of week 10 in Room 7

Woah.....one week to go. What a busy and fulfilled term we have had.

Big date on calendar for next week: Wednesday 13th April (next week) at 9.40am we are hosting our school assembly.

Wow - sometimes - things just happen and they're such a cool moment....these 3 photos below are from Wednesday morning - I had some old maths text books out = and Petra, Ava, Jordyn, Mackenzie and Liv took it upon themselves to do some early morning maths, before school started.

Go Ava and Jordyn - great maths you two =)

On a Wednesday lunchtime, 12 noon in Room 7 you will find the Pokemon Club.
Ali (R7), Jonty (R8) and Liam (R8) are the leaders. I am the teacher supervising, but I have left the club to be run by these boys.
We have set up ground rules..ie: no cards outside of the club. As in the club the students are playing Pokeman games, trading etc....

SHARP Room 7 students - Annabelle and Esther for well written postcards (I am going to add Petra to this) and Mackenzie for her SHARP responsiiblity and helping another student.

Look at these well written postcards...

Black box time - think, pair, share....this is really good for oral language. Zac and Charlie talking to each other.

Kane and Jacob talking to each other.

Go Room 7 - first thing in the morning - talking to each other.
My wonderful mother inlaw - when she was a little girl. My daughter so looks like her in this photo. The life cycle continues...
A great reminder of these words...and how to remember them.
Friday: At 11am we have our Mandarin lesson with our teacher: WU SHAN
The children are learning how to ask what is your name? They do this by asking in Mandarin and singing songs in Mandarin.
Sorry the photos are not that clear =( Below is Tyah asking: WU SHAN what is your name.?
